An Invitation from Pastor Bill

Dear Friends,

There are many invitations from God in the Scriptures, but none greater than the one offered by Jesus,

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30

This is the essence of discipleship; walking with Jesus and learning to live the way He lived. You may have heard that we are focusing on discipleship this Fall. Let me clarify. We want to help you walk with Jesus and learn from Him. Therefore, this Sunday we are starting a new ten-week series on the 23rd Psalm, “Walking with Our Good Shepherd.” I hope you will be here to kick off the series.

This Sunday we are also having a Connect Group Fair. We want to help every person find a small group where you can experience community and spend more time going deeper into Psalm 23. We need small gatherings where we can share our own stories and struggles with a few other sheep in His flock. Click here for a PDF Pamphlet of our Connect Groups.

Finally, we are also launching VSOD, the Vineyard School of Discipleship. I’m hoping you can deepen your walk with Jesus by attending either one of these rich opportunities to grow in the Word.

  • Mike Ames will be teaching THE SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE. Mike is an excellent teacher with a thorough knowledge of Scripture, but he’s also a doer of the Word. He’s always involved in some type of ministry both in and outside the church. He has recently returned from trips to Israel and Haiti.
  • Stacy Davis is leading a class that will open your eyes to world missions, REACHING UNREACHED PEOPLES. Stacy and her family served in Kenya as missionaries for many years and is currently a coordinator for African Inland Missions. This course is not just something she read about in a book. Their family is living a missional life.

I know you will enjoy and be changed by these courses. Both six-week courses start at 9:00 am this Sunday.
