The Connect Team exists to show the hospitality of God’s people to new and existing members, connecting them to other ministries and people so that they grow into belonging and bear fruit.

Ministry Expectations

• Connect team should be in the lobby by 10:30am, and remain welcoming people until 11:15 or so. At 11am, please help usher people into the sanctuary
• Setup speaker and Spotify playlist to welcome people outside the main doors
• Smile and be friendly and outgoing to visitors.
• Be involved in the life of the church to have an idea of what to tell people
• Seek to connect newcomers to ministries or other people
• Have an awareness of newcomers and be prayerful
• Attend team training events
• Return to the lobby after service to engage newcomers after service
• Communicate availability and help find a replacement if you are unable to make it
• Be aware of every ministry and leader in the church in order to connect new visitors with opportunities that may be a good fit for them.

The Connect Team welcomes visitors by embodying the hospitality of Jesus to those that have decided to step through the church doors. We help to connect people to the ministries, events, activities and people of our church in the hope that they would grow in God’s purposes.

This ministry is missional in focus (COMMISSION) but exists to introduce people to community (COMMUNITY). And we do this ministry through partnering with God in what we see Him doing in our midst (COMMUNION).
